It’s a matter of time

I could have written a tech article. But ChatGPT is doing a pretty great job at that, so why not write about my real-life human experience which ChatGPT cannot fully understand (yet).

It’s been 8 months since I started working in Sydney, Australia as a Software Engineer for quite a reputable company.

Coming from Pakistan, It was no less than a dream come true. “Finally”, I told myself, “Going to be a part of the CBD hustle”. Waking up at 7 am, getting dressed, catching the 40 min train ride to the office, getting a cup of coffee along the way with that early morning freshness in the air.

Laptop bag in one hand, and coffee in the other. That feeling does come, I am really “hustling”. But am I?

The thing is, Human beings crave novelty and progress. If the routine becomes mundane, regardless if you’re working in Silicon Valley, There is a significant chance of burnout.

If the routine which you’re following isn’t subject to change, You will grow tired of it. Simple.

So worked in the new place I did, for a good 8 months (And still am). But eventually, I started feeling I was getting tired of it. Same old work over and over again. Create APIs, create the front end, and repeat. You can only do this for so long before…
